I wanted to learn this a while ago but the internet wouldn’t provide me with the chords, so I sat down and figured them out by listening. Only the chords, without the solo / fingerstyle part.

Capo: 3

// Intro / Chorus

{1}x2
 [D] [Em] [G] [D]
 [Am] [C] [D] [Em]

// Verse

 [Am] [C] [Em]
Pie meitenes vēl klāt olīves un vīnu
 [Am] [C] [G]
Lēni ejamu ceļu līdz pašai jūrai
[Am] [C] [Em]
Noskūpstītu mēness ūdensrozi
 [G] [D] [Am] [C] [Em] [D] .A.A.B.C[Em]
Un debesis mēmas kā raudu mūri

Pie mirušās dienas pieskaitīt skumjas
Visu to kas pasacīts bez jēgas
Naudu par vilcienu līdz šejienei
Un uzvaras izmisuma pilno saucienu: bēgam

Pie tāluma iedomāties mūsu tuvumu
Neredzamo kā kaut ko mūžīgi redzamu
Savu nespēju just kā pēdējo mīlestību
Un nogrimušo sauli vairs neaizdedzamu

{1}x2

Pie visa vēl iztēloties neko
Savu aizmiršanos un meitenes auksto roku
Viņas krūtis kā vīlušās observatorijas
Un savu piedzimšanu kā neizdevušos joku

Pie tā tad vēl atliek atliek nopūtas
Mitri sērkociņi un peldbikses slapjas
Un tumsā neredzamas bizbizmārītes
Kas no katra nākamā viļņa glābjas

{1}x2

Un tikai tad es saņemšos laimei
Savam pēdējam lēcienam sevī
Tikai tad kas būšu bezcerīgi vīlies
Jūrā krūtīs vīnā olīvēs un tevī

Tikai tad es tev sacīšu: mīlu
Un pagriezies ieniršu bēgošā naktī
Tikai tad kad tu man būsi piedzimusi
Ar dzīvību un nāvi nešķiramā taktī

{1}x3

The house of the inner mind is, by its very definition, a private place. It takes great skill to look into even a single room from outside, and only those closest to us are ever welcomed inside. Which makes it somewhat unsettling to go down to the kitchen one day and discover a visitor with a pleasant smile on their face benignely looking around, just as lost as to how they got there as you are. Things don’t really improve when they ask you to show them around and by the time your mouth has formed the syllables necessary for an absolute refusal, both of you are at the end of a guided tour.

Āpsis reizēm neatšķir
Taisnību no joka
Reizēm āpsi taisnība
Dzen skraidīt šaurā lokā

Reizēm āpsim prieku daudz
Reizēm daudz ir moku
Jo īpaši kad kādam ģeld
Pār āpsi nogāzt koku

Grūti ārā izrāpties,
Kad visas ķepas lauztas
Vēl grūtāk sasaukt palīgā
Kad šķeltas ribas plaušās

“Āpsis nemirs, cita dzīts”
Iekšā dusmas sāpes lok
“Kad āpsim dzist — to āpsis lems”
Ārā zobi bedri rok

Ne pirmais koks, ne pēdējais
Ne pirmā nāve tuva
Un āpsis nemanīja pats
Kā medusāpsis kļuva

Ļoti gribu
Bet nevaru
Izrauties no nebeidzamās atgriešanās
Esmu dumpīgs
Sevī vīlies
Satelīts

a.k.a. “I Was Well Prepared, On The Night The Sky Fell”

I was well prepared, on the night the sky fell
I read the countless warnings, heard the endless bells
I had everything made ready, I was on my way
I knew where my shelter was, and how long to stay

I might have been prepared, on the night the sky fell
I read the countless warnings, heard the endless bells
I left no time to reach my family, friends or anyone who cares
I ran ahead, I knew the way — straight ahead and down the stairs

I thought I was prepared, on the night the sky fell
I read the countless warnings, heard the endless bells
I am in the shelter now, deep beneath the ground
I know there’s no reception, and no way to be found

I was not prepared, on the night the sky fell
I read the countless warnings, heard the endless bells
I thought I’d thought of everything, but one thing slipped my mind
My shelter has a quirk of sorts — it won’t open from inside
